I J W Hall, of Simpson CO, Ky, being of sound mind, realizing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do hereby make this my last will in words and figures as follows:

Item 1 - At my death I will that my debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor hereinafter names.

Item 2 - I will that a $50 monument be placed over my last resting place by my Executor. I also will that a $50 monument be placed over or at the graves of Richard Hall decd and his wife Alice Hall, Decd.

Item 3 - I will to my beloved wife Mary E Hall one feather bed and $300.

Item 4 - I will to Fannie Emily Hall, daughter of Richard Hall $100.

Item 5 – I will to my son Dr E N Hall $650.

Item 6 – I will to my daughter, Mrs M I Spears one feather bed and $1050. The reason I will to my daughter more than I do to the others is she has lived with me and waited on me and nursed me and done much for me in various ways.

Item 7 – In the event there is an property or money left of my Estate after paying debts, funeral expenses, Cost of Administrators, then I will that the remainder be equally divided between my wife, Mary E Hall, Dr E N Hall and my daughter, Mrs M I Spears, but if I should not have enough money to pay debts, funeral expenses, Cost of Administrators, monuments and various bequeaths herein, then I will that the deficit be taken from the bequeaths of Fannie Emily Hall, Dr E N Hall, Mrs M I Spears and my wife Mary E Hall, that is one fourth of the deficit, if any, deducted from the bequest of each of the four named parties.

Item 8 – I will that at my death all of my property of every kind except the 2 feather beds herein willed be sold and converted to money by my Executor and dispersed or paid to those mentioned herein. I give my Executor power to sell and convey my lands.

Item 9 – I hereby appoint G W Roark Executor of this my last will.

I A S Crowdus, clerk of the Simpson County, Court, certify that the forgoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of J W Hall, was on this day produces in open court and offered for probate, the same being proven to be such by the oath of Nicholas P Simmonds and Nannie Mae Simmonds, the two subscribing witnesses thereto. Whereupon the same was admitted

last will and testament of the said J W Hall, deceased, which is done accordingly.
